Gap’s Position in 2005
[ send me this paper ]
A 12 page paper discussing Gap’s present position for the purpose of determining whether Gap’s stock is a good investment at present. Investors are bemoaning Gap’s decline in stock price, but industry analysts urge patience. The company suffered a setback of much the same kind in the early 1990s, and Gap appears to be in the same type of position now. All indications are that the company will grow in the future, and with attention toward sustainability and maximization of wealth within the bounds of corporate social responsibility (CSR). After projecting three years into the future for both income statements and balance sheet, and assessing the stock through CAPM (capital asset pricing model) and DCF (discounted cash flow) methods, the recommendation is that investors purchase the stock at any time in the present environment. Bibliography lists 11 sources.

Gas Prices: What Needs To Be Done To Lower Them?
[ send me this paper ]
6 pages in length. The ongoing rise in gas prices over the past several weeks has consumers clamoring for a way to meet the growing cost and still maintain some semblance of a monthly budget. The extent to which this current increase has impacted the country is both grand and far-reaching; that this is an unusual situation where everyone - no matter if they drive or not - is part of the audience speaks to the broad-scope of effect gas prices are having. From families who must cut back on road trips with the kids to non-driving elderly who pay more to ship packages to myriad industries that depend upon crude oil byproducts to manufacture to the trucking industry that represents 90% of commodities movement, there is literally no one left untouched by the current fuel costs. Since no single citizen has the power to influence prices at the pump, the objective for lowering per gallon costs is for each individual to modify the way in which they utilize the gasoline they do purchase in order to make a collective impact. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
