The Economic Impact of World Trade Organization (WTO) Membership on China

China has increased its GDP by almost 8 percent and its exports by almost 20 percent which has led China to become the fourth largest trading body in the world. While labor has begun to shift within the country from the agricultural sectors to the industrial sectors, private Chinese enterprises have also experienced a growth in revenue as the WTO has allowed them recognition in international trade; recognition they were previously denied.
