[ send me this paper ]
This is a 3 page paper discussing how television news reflects as well as influences popular culture. Television news influences as well as reflects various aspects of popular culture in today’s society. Television news and the violent components have been shown to have adverse and frightening effects on children. The paper argues that people have greater ability to and interest in forming their own opinions than media have given them credit for being able to do, citing our rejection of networks for fact-only CNN during the Persian Gulf War in support. Television is indeed small; it would be much smaller without demands of viewers that it be otherwise. Bibliography lists 1 source.
