ceremony. The brief includes citation for the case, a description of the sitation and the

Brimley Et Al's "Financing Education In A Climate Of Change"
[ send me this paper ]
6 pages in length. Financing Education in a Climate of Change by J. Vern Brimley and Rulon R. Garfield strives to illustrate the inextricable components of economic funding and educational opportunity as they exist in contemporary society. That a solid education is becoming more and more difficult to secure with today's ever-escalating costs is a point upon which the authors focus with the intention of drawing attention to just how serious the issue has become for those who want to further their academic standing but are stifled due to financial deficits. No additional sources cited.

California Energy Crisis: How It Impacts The State's Educational Funding
[ send me this paper ]
10 pages in length. California has been faced with numerous social, political and economic issues over the past decade, but one can readily argue how none have had such a broad and far-reaching impact as the energy crisis, detrimentally impacting seemingly unrelated segments of society. The state's educational funding – or the lack thereof – is but one of many offshoots from the energy crisis, inasmuch as federal government policy and Governor Davis's actions have been particularly unfavorable sticking points with regard to their response to the energy crisis, thereby creating many of the educational budget issues that currently exist. Bibliography lists 9 sources.

California School Finance
[ send me this paper ]
A 9 page review of California school funding. The author assesses past and current funding and emphasizes that while questioning the manner in which our public schools are funded and how they utilize those funds is quite prudent, spending too much time fighting about dollars can be as much a detriment to the educational goals as a benefit. Money does not always determine educational quality. Bibliography lists 8 sources.

Campus Speech Codes
[ send me this paper ]
12 pages in length. The quest for political correctness – both dubious and preclusive of all else – has reached an apex of complete irrationality when it comes to appeasing society's most vocal protestors, a wave of senselessness that has all but overtaken today's institutions of higher learning. College campus codes – "any behavior, verbal or physical, that stigmatizes or victimizes individuals on the basis of race, ethnic or national origin" (Kors et al, 1999, p. PG) – have overruled any logical approach to human interaction where prejudice – often perceived - is concerned, mandating instead the manner by which college students interact. This overt attempt to quell the presence of racially offensive exchanges has wholly bypassed its original objective, instead creating an entirely unprecedented – if not unwelcome – directive of how people are to relate to one another without offending a person's ethnic orientation in the process while disregarding everyone's innate right to freedom of speech. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
