Space Shuttle Design / Then And Now
[ send me this paper ]
20 pages in length. If the space shuttle were to have existed at any other time than the present, would it have possessed the same physical characteristics that it does today? Surely, if the architectural components were compared with that of the Renaissance period, Classicism, Neoclassicism and the early part of the Twentieth Century, there would exist considerable difference with regard to the rocket's outward appearance. There is no question that the basis of architecture has changed immensely throughout the centuries, which helps to establish a theory about the inherent physical appearance the space shuttle would have reflected in those eras. The writer discusses space shuttle design as it relates to these periods. Bibliography lists 16 sources.
