The Saga of the M-1 Abrahms Tank.
[ send me this paper ]
(5 pp). The M-1 Abrahms tank was the Army's
answer to new field weaponry. It was first shown
in action in 1978, and was believed to be the
means to meet current and predicted land threats.
Yet the story that resulted from that first unit
to the last unit, has all the drama of full-time
soap opera. Bibliography lists 2 sources.

The Sexual Revolution
[ send me this paper ]
6 pages. The sexual revolution of the
1960's brought with it the birth control pill which many thought
was a free ticket to worry-free sexual encounters, quick flings
and a general sense of irresponsible 'fun.' But the 1960's was
more than that: it brought with it a new way of thinking which,
right or wrong, made America sit up and take notice. Was a
sexual revolution really what people wanted? And is it worth the
cost? Bibliography lists 4 sources.

The Sexual Revolution
[ send me this paper ]
This 7 page report discusses the sexual
revolution in America of the 1960s through the 1980s. America of
the 1960s and 1970s was a time of great change that brought about
the legalization of practices that it is now hard to think of as
once having been banned or thought of as immoral such as birth
control (illegal in many states as late as 1965), abortion and
interracial marriage. Fundamentally, the sexual revolution
changed almost every aspect of American life. Bibliography lists
7 sources.

The Sexual Revolution of the 1920s
[ send me this paper ]
A 12 page contention that the 1920s did indeed spawn a sexual revolution. The industrialization which would overtake the U.S. in this time period would impact us in some very astounding ways. One of these ways was the advent of the sexual revolution, a revolution in which the mores and social behavior of the newly-named “flapper” would usurp those of the traditional American housewife. The flapper would come to epitomize the liberation of American women from the rigidly-defined patriarchal system which had kept them and their female ancestors bound practically since the beginning of mankind’s reign on earth. Bibliography lists 7 sources.

The Shortcomings of Our Democracy
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page examination of the question of whether our government, essentially unchanged in its basic premises since the Declaration of Independence, has been effective in addressing the needs and desires of the people. The author asserts that while the mechanisms are in place for such an address, the government’s focus has unfortunately been that of the more powerful in our society and not of the common man. The author concludes that while democracy is a grand and glorious concept, it is a concept which still has some flaws. While we are, perhaps, better off than much of the rest of the world in regard to our political flexibility, even our great nation has a long way to go towards assuring true equality.
