Revolution in East Germany: The Push/Pull Phenomena
[ send me this paper ]
A 4 page overview of the factors which were at play in East Germany’s 1989 revolution. The author contends that, as with most revolutions, some of these factors were external while others were internal. The interplay which was created could be regarded, in fact, as a push/pull phenomena, a phenomena in which internal forces pushing for change joined external forces pulling for change. Bibliography lists 5 sources.

Revolutionary Theory
[ send me this paper ]
A 4 page essay/research paper that discusses the factors of an original revolutionary theory, which attempts to explain the processes of revolution by borrowing its basic premise from Marx, but follows the analogy originated by Crane Brinton, which compares revolution the processes involved in sickness, that is, symptom, fever and recovery (Medvedex, 2003). An additional element to this perspective on revolutionary theory is an original component that states that an additional "symptom" of revolution is when the ruling class of a society subscribes to a vision of national identity that does not fit with the working class reality of the proletariat. Bibliography lists 3 sources.

Richard Cobb/The French and their Revolution
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page analysis of a collection of Oxford historian Richard Cobb's essays on the French Revolution. The writer argues that each of these essays demonstrates Cobb's interest in the social aspects of history, rather than the political or the military ramifications of the Revolution. This being the case, the common thread that ties these essays together into a cohesive whole is Cobb's obvious belief that the spirit of the French people, which motivated the revolutionary upheaval, is most accurately discerned by focusing on the lives of ordinary people. Bibliography lists 2 sources.

Richard III, Hitler and Mussolini
[ send me this paper ]
This 8 page paper argues that Richard III, Hitler and Mussolini were all desperately ill, but not delusional; they knew what they were doing and felt no remorse for it. That is, they knew moral right from wrong and chose to act immorally. It also argues that the driving force behind the three was substantially different in each case. Bibliography lists 6 sources.

Richard Lionheart and Isaac Comnenus, A Play
[ send me this paper ]
This 3 page paper takes the form of a play in which events that transpired between Isaac Comnenus and Richard the Lionheart on Cyprus are dramatized. Bibliography lists 1 source.

Rise Of Fascism And Nazi Power In Germany
[ send me this paper ]
This 7 page paper discusses the events and situations that led to the rise of fascism in Germany between 1919 and 1931. The German people were lured into accepting and supporting this type of government by Hitler, who exploited the problems Germany had after World War I and then exploited the impact the Great Depression had on Germany. This essay explains how Hitler and his Nazis were able to seduce the country's population. Bibliography lists 4 sources.

Rise of the West, Etc.
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page research paper that relies on the text The Earth and Its Peoples by Bulliet, et al (1997) to discuss three areas of history. The first section of the paper concerns the "rise of the West," the next section relates European expansionism to the Atlantic slave trade, and the final section contrasts the revolutions in Latin America to the American Revolution. No additional sources cited.
