The Middle Passage/Deslauriers
[ send me this paper ]
A 3 page research paper that describes French director Guy Deslauriers’ 2000 film “The Middle Passage” endeavors to portray the horrors endured by Africans abducted from their homes and forcibly transported to the New World. The film is a “stylistic gamble” as it is “without dialogue, individualized characters or conventional narrative arc” (Harvey 26). In other words, the film attempts to offer a contemporary audience the illusion that they are looking directly at history and the atrocities perpetuated on captured Africans. The main question, therefore, in evaluating this film is whether or not this depiction is accurate. The writer discusses this question, drawing on the narrative of Olaudah Equiano. Bibliography lists 4 sources.

The Milagro Beanfield War
[ send me this paper ]
6 pages in length. The Milagro
Beanfield War is a simple yet richly symbolic tale of a war
between the rich and the poor. This classic tale of good vs.
evil transcends what one reads on the page or sees on the screen,
but leaves one walking away with a feeling inside that goes
beyond mere emotion. This is a story that tells us clearly that
money and power do not equal right, and poverty does not equal
wrong. It is the inherent human quality and the underlying love
in what we do that makes our world a better place in which to
live. Bibliography lists two sources.

[ send me this paper ]
7 pages in length. The Milagro
Beanfield War is a simple yet richly symbolic tale of a war
between the rich and the poor. This classic tale of good vs.

Salt of the Earth, these are stories that tell us clearly that
money and power do not equal right, and poverty does not equal

in what we do that makes our world a better place in which to
live. Bibliography lists two sources.

The Movie “Philadelphia” -- Is it a Model for Health Care
Communication
[ send me this paper ]
This 5 page report discusses the 1993 movie
“Philadelphia” starring Tom Hanks. “Philadelphia” is a sensitive
and heartbreaking examination of the affect of AIDS on family,
friends, and the people who interact with an AIDS victim. After
seeing the movie, the question can be asked as to how the movie
helps in learning about health care communication. The question
has to be addressed on a variety levels. Perhaps the single most
important fact is simply that every human is usually afraid of
what he or she does not understand. Bibliography lists 5
sources.
