Terrorism: The Prevalence Of Indirect Victims
[ send me this paper ]
4 pages in length. Being caught in the crossfire of terrorist activity renders myriad indirect victims, those who suffer the consequences of violent attacks without actually being involved in the altercation (Echeburua et al, 2003). Innocent bystanders, people in the wrong place at the wrong time and those who attempt to be heroes are all indirect victims of terrorism when they are injured or killed by virtue of their proximity to the violent activity. When considering the prevalence of terrorism-related indirect victims, it is also important to realize how the terrorist can also be deemed a victim of his or her own actions when under the influence of political coercion. Bibliography lists 4 sources.

Terrorists As Non-State Actors In World Politics
[ send me this paper ]
7 pages in length. Terrorism is not an activity endorsed by global states as a means by which to address international hostilities; rather, it is a self-perpetuating form of anarchy that feeds off a minimal percentage of fundamentalists who have the capacity to inflict tremendous harm and damage. The extent to which terrorists act of their own accord is both grand and far-reaching; that their non-state status creates an even greater level of contempt and confusion speaks to the inescapable reality of innocent - and non-supporting - victims becoming indelibly involved. Bibliography lists 15 sources.

Tet Offensive
[ send me this paper ]
6 pages in length. The Tet Offensive of 1968 changed many aspects of life and politics. The historic even that occurred more than thirty years ago served to forever modify nearly all aspects of United States governmental representation, including the presidency and the Pentagon, not to mention the press and the public as well. When the
North Vietnamese implemented shock attacks on thirty
seemingly safe cities on those two January days, they unwittingly set in motion a chain of events that will forever be associated with the question that surrounds war in the first place: Why must it exist? Bibliography lists 5 sources.

Texas Gun Control: The Opposition
[ send me this paper ]
12 pages in length. Explains the Texas gun control efforts. Focus is on those opposed to firearm legislation. Gun-prohibitionists constantly argue that the Second Amendment guarantees only a right of States to maintain militias. In doing so, they ignore not only the plain text of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, but numerous opinions in which the United States Supreme Court has spoken of the right to keep and bear arms as an individual right. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
