Aggressive Drivers: Safely Avoiding Their Hostility
[ send me this paper ]
3 pages in length. Aggressive drivers behave as if their presence on the road and ability to reach their destination are the only things that hold any importance; as such, they drive erratically, follow too close, honk, swerve in and out of traffic, travel well beyond the posted speed limit, flash their brights into the rearview mirror of the driver ahead of them, make unkind gestures and generally hold little respect for those who share the road with them. The object of dealing with aggressive drivers is NOT to challenge their self-given power but instead defer to their unsafe antics and get as far from them as immediately possible. Since they disregard road rules, they also ignore the potential for being the cause of an accident. Bibliography lists 1 source.

Agnosia
[ send me this paper ]
This 10 page paper describes the different categories of agnosia. This is a condition that can affect any of the five senses and, in general, results in a dissociation between the sensory stimulus and the associative memory related to that stimulus. For instance, if a patient with visual agnosia were shown a picture of an object, he would be unable to recall the name of the object. It is not a memory disorder; it is a perceptual-associative disorder caused primarily by stroke and brain injury. The several classifications of agnosia are discussed. Bibliography lists 9 sources.
