Forensic Psychology: Issues of Morality and Justice
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page overview of the role forensic psychologists play in issues of morality and justice. Notes that in effect forensic psychology is a court of law, a system designed to weigh the mental processes of some against those of the masses. Psychology is really a means of justification, the presentation of evidence or facts which support our views or beliefs. This "evidence" or "fact" varies considerably, however, according to what arena it is presented. A rigid testing and diagnostic regime is therefore critical to justice. The issues of morality and justice are integrally tied to the “court of law” of forensic psychology. It is by gauging one’s morality and concept of justice, in fact, that allows us in many instances to distinguish normal from aberrant. Bibliography lists 5 sources.

Freudian Revenant and the Aesthetics of Art
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page contention that Freudian theory has a diversity of applications to the aesthetics of art. Of these, however, the concept of revenants is perhaps the most obvious in the greatest number of art pieces. While revenants could be a component of any art form, they are most interesting when viewed in terms of human language. Poetry and music, therefore, offer the greatest opportunity to witness the application of one component of Freudian theory on our understanding of the aesthetics of art. Provides an analysis of the poems "Fern Hill" by Dylan Thomas and "Pied Beauty" by Gerard Manley Hopkins as an example of this application. Bibliography lists 4 sources.

Game Shows as Cultural Indicators
[ send me this paper ]
As Bany-Winters (2000) points out, games are a fun way of learning how to perform, whether you’re a musician, a corporate manager or an actor. Games teach rules, participation, personal achievement, and precise skills. This is why games are often employed in the corporate environment for training purposes. Many view game shows as a natural electronic progression from games played as children. The reason they work is that they are familiar. The difference is that game shows have distinctive adult features.... 5 Works cited. jvGamShw.rtf

Gay and Lesbian Culture? Not!
[ send me this paper ]
(11 pp). Unless you just arrived from an alien
planet in the last twenty minutes there is little
chance, that definition of gay or lesbian culture
is without some framework in your life. Gone are
the days when one could put there hand over their
mouth, gasp in horror, --"well I certainly don't
know any." Whether one makes judgments about this
"alternative life style," or same-sex couples is
another issue. We will be exploring where the
culture is today, in this paper.
