[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page paper. The 85 and older age group is the fastest growing population in the U.S. What can these folks do to retain their sense of integrity and their self-confidence and self-esteem? There are no norms of behavior or stages of development for the elderly, unlike younger age groups. As one author said, they are making up the norms as they go along. This paper discusses some of the issues and some ideas for how this growing population can maintain integrity while losing some roles and taking on new ones. Haskel Wexler’s “Medium Cool”
[ send me this paper ]
This 5 page report discusses the
1969 movie “Medium Cool” that was directed by Haskel Wexler and
tells the story of a television news cameraman, played by Robert
Forster, recording the events and people of the turbulent
Democratic Convention of 1968 in Chicago and the resulting street
riot. Wexler masterfully wove in live footage of the events in
Chicago with the actions of his actors causing the movie to have
something that feels like the combination of a historical
documentary and a surrealist “art” film. The film is also viewed
from the perspectives of cognitive theory and behaviorism.

Have Psychologists, Past And Present, Dealt With Issues Concerning Gender In An Ethical Way?
[ send me this paper ]
5 pages in length. While the entire field of psychology is governed by a code of ethics that mandates specific behavior among its members, there are times when what is deemed ethical by one is interpreted wholly different by another. This perspective is apparent in a variety of degrees and disciplines within the overall field, however, one might readily surmise how it has been particularly noticeable where issues concerning gender are – and have been – concerned. Two of the most glaring illustrations of this unethical behavior are found when religious psychologists attempt to counsel battered women and mainstream psychologists seduce their vulnerable patients. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
