Sigmund Freud and His Philosophy on Public Education
[ send me this paper ]
This 5

development. Bibliography lists 4 sources.

Sigmund Freud and Nancy Chodorow -- Perspectives on the
Individual
[ send me this paper ]
This 7 page report discusses Sigmund Freud’s larger
psychoanalysis theories and those of the moodier day
feminist-sociologist Nancy Chodorow. While Freud “blames”
virtually every aspect of human development, both individually
and collectively, on sexual repression, Chodorow believes it is
important to reexamine the multiple aspects of sexuality (gender,
sexual orientation, and love) and presents her ideas from those
basic points of reference. Bibliography lists 2 sources.

Sigmund Freud and Religion
[ send me this paper ]
A 6 page paper Freud’s position on the use and value of religion. Freud held that religion could be used both as a justification for behavior and for restraints against it. He conceded that established religions’ moral teachings could be beneficial, but he also believed that individuals should find their own behavioral motivations within themselves rather than relying on any religion to instruct them how to conduct their own lives. Freud’s view of religion is that it provides a framework in which to address the Oedipal complex, react to infantile helplessness and exercise paranoid wish fulfillment (Freud and religion). In short, Freud’s view of religion is that it could provide an environment for the weak in which individuals could come to terms with some of these issues, but that the nature of religion would prevent such insight from occurring. Bibliography lists 6 sources.

[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page discussion of Freud's views on art. Notes his extensive personal collection of art from primitive cultures, art which in many cases was originally ceremonial in nature. Discusses the Freudian concept of revenants (repetition) and rhythm and points out the significance of each in art. Bibliography lists 4 sources.

Sigmund Freud And The Emergence Of Psychoanalysis
[ send me this paper ]
10 pages in length. When one hears the name Sigmund Freud, one makes an immediate association with the psychological discipline of psychoanalysis. The extent to which Freud shaped an entire industry based upon what at the time was considered a wholly outrageous assertion about human behavior is both grand and far-reaching; that his theories metamorphosed into the cornerstone of traditional psychological approach speaks to the accuracy with which Freud was able to uncover and address many of humanity's hidden problems. Bibliography lists 7 sources.

Sigmund Freud and Understanding Dreams

of the overall discussion. Two famous case studies, “Dora” and “Wolfman,” are used as
examples. Bibliography lists 11 sources.
