Structuration
[ send me this paper ]
14 pages in length. To live within a given society is to conform to the inherent structural components as dictated by the culture that governs the society. Anthony Giddens' theory of structuration illustrates how social and political structure is an ever-evolving entity whose composition cannot be relied upon to remain stagnant; rather, this structure must be looked at from a perspective of theoretical dichotomies that require reconciliation, not the least of which includes agency/structure, subjective/objective, and micro/macro angles. Noting how social practices are "ordered across space and time" (Giddens, 1986, p. 2), the theorist points to the inescapable correlation between agent and collective sum of society whereby agency and structure are equally influenced and addressed. Bibliography lists 10 sources.

Struggle Between Good and Evi
[ send me this paper ]
A 10 page research paper/essay that discusses this topic. The struggle between good and evil has been omnipresent in human history and continues to be so. Is this because both good and bad people exist or is it because specific circumstances can elicit a struggle between good and evil in individuals. The discussion supports the latter interpretations and will, first of all, explore what is meant by "evil" and how it is conceptualized. Then, this writer/tutor argues that evil is an inherent part of the nature of every human being and this factor is manifested in human behavior when it is triggered by all-too typical reactions to specific social circumstances. The paper draws heavily on The Lucifer Effect by Philip Zimbardo. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
