Medieval Weapons And Siege Engines: England
[ send me this paper ]
9 pages in length. Self-preservation is a core component of human survival; in order for man to withstand threats to self and society, tools were necessary in order to outmaneuver the opposition. Medieval England has a rich and extensive arsenal of weaponry and siege engines that were instrumental in the many battles engaged for social, political and economic power; so valuable and highly prized were they that it was not uncommon for the implements to be buried with the dead. The extent to which these armaments continued a progression of battle tools that evolved from rudimentary to technologically advanced (Dawson, 2005) is both grand and far-reaching; such relatively simplistic weaponry was not only effective but quite ingenious for the level of apparatus and know-how available at the time. Bibliography lists 12 sources.

Nobility & Peasantry in Medieval Times
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page comparison and contrast of the lives of peasants and nobles during medieval times in Europe. Without even delving deeply, this is a subject which obviously contains far more contrasts than comparisons, especially in comparing to the differences between the elite and the commoner today. The nobles of medieval times were less involved with any form of rigid work or quest for mere survival, which contrasts highly with the lives of the peasants who were continuously concerned with their survival, and the survival of their families and friends. This is but one of the many issues addressed herein. Bibliography lists 5 sources.

Queen Elizabeth I
[ send me this paper ]
A 12 page paper. Born of Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII, Elizabeth's childhood was not what one would anticipate for a future Queen of England. This paper provides a biographical sketch of this great queen beginning with her birth in 1533 and ending with her death in 1603. During most of her reign, Elizabeth contended with intermittent conspiracies to oust her from the throne. Still, she prevailed and brought numerous advances to England, while maintaining a more peaceful world presence than predecessors. She also fostered the golden age of English literature and is immortalized in writings. Bibliography lists 7 sources.

Richard II
[ send me this paper ]
5 pages in length. Richard II was not the most popular of British monarchs, nor did he take the throne at a very opportune time. The combination of Black Death, an epidemic that took the lives of nearly one-half of the entire population, and Richard's inability to lead with any political prowess cost him the chance to regain a solid British stance under effective leadership. So bound by authoritarian rule was Richard that his unyielding reign soon set off a revolution that served to be the beginning of the end for this particular monarch's authority. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
